Open source is how Polaris students earn a global reputation before they graduate. A merged PR in a Linux Foundation project or a GSoC selection with MIT App Inventor tells every employer and research lab in the world that you can work on real codebases, at an international standard, independently.

LFX places students inside the world's most critical open source infrastructure - operating systems, blockchain protocols, cloud-native tools, and AI/ML frameworks that power Fortune 500 companies and global digital infrastructure.

Summer of Bitcoin (SOB)

SOB is a global open source internship focused entirely on Bitcoin and open financial infrastructure. Students work directly on Bitcoin protocol projects - one of the most technically demanding open source ecosystems in the world, with stipends paid in Bitcoin.

Code for GovTech (C4GT)

C4GT is a Government of India-backed program where students contribute to digital public infrastructure - the technology powering Aadhaar, DIKSHA, health systems, and national platforms used by hundreds of millions of Indians.
